Two Parts Italy was started in 2017 by Joanne Marino Bartram and Judy Giannettino, friends who wanted to share their passion for travel, adventure, and all things Italian.
Today the blog is written by Joanne, while Judy has moved on to other endeavors. Joanne continues to shares her experiences living in Italy along with her travels, culinary adventures, and the many things that contribute to living a flavorful life.
About Joanne:
My earliest travel memories are of road trips with my four siblings in the back of my parent's Rambler station wagon and of one magical train trip from New York to Virginia with my Italian grandfather. So began a lifelong passion for travel.
My travels began in earnest 20+ years ago with a life-changing two-week trip to Italy. Following that trip I returned to Italy as often as possible while juggling a career in health care and raising a family. During my many visits I fell in love with the people, language, culture, and regional foods of Italy.
In late 2018 I moved to a small town in Tuscany. I now live most of the year in a small but charming apartment in Lucca. In summers you can usually find me in New Mexico visiting my family and continuing to write, travel, cook, and explore.
