Travel with Us!
We love the positive feedback we get from you, the readers of Two Parts Italy. Over and over again, you've told us you'd like to travel with us. What a great idea!
Judy and Joanne (one or both of us, depending on the week) will be in Lucca, Italy, from September 15 to October 20, 2017, and you are invited to join us in the experiences listed below. Just email us at email@example.com and tell us what you'd like to do and we'll get back to you with further details.
Travel Journaling Workshop
Explore creative ways to capture your thoughts when traveling in this 3.5-hour workshop that will begin with an easy scenic walk in Lucca and be followed by guidance and discussion about journaling. Led by professional writers and longtime travelers, you will receive a journal, writing inspiration, and ideas for several ways to journal your travels. We'll share an Italian aperitivo at the end of the session.
Scheduled dates: October 2 (2 p.m.) and October 9 (2 p.m). Cost: $45
Settle into Your Apartment
Are you renting an apartment in Lucca while there for language study, vacation or a long-term stay? Would you like to know the best places to buy fresh bread, fruits and vegetables, wine, groceries, and household necessities like toilet paper, paper towels and laundry soap? Let us show you how to "fare la spesa" (grocery shop) in Lucca. Along the way, we'll point out some of our favorite cafes, bars and restaurants. This is a great way to settle in and begin to feel at home in Lucca! Offered upon request and on a day that works with your schedule. Cost: $35
Lucca Garden Walk
Do you love gardens? Come with us on a three-hour walk that includes visiting two of the loveliest gardens in the "centro storico" of Lucca. We will visit the gardens of Palazzo Pfanner (with a stop in the interior of this beautiful palazzo with its grand staircase) and either a small "secret" garden or the cloister gardens in one of Lucca's many churches. Along the way you will experience the beautiful narrow streets of Lucca, learn a little about the city's history and hear our tips for visitors. At the end of the walk, you'll be treated to a coffee or glass of wine at a local café/bar. Offered upon request and on a day that works with your schedule. Cost $45
